In History it talked about how the Second Great Awakening came to be, prison reforms like if a child got in trouble with the law they are punished the same way criminals were punished.The book talked about improvement in education for women, colored, and children/adults with special needs.Schools for the special needed was founded by Thomas Gallaudet in 1817.A women's academy was founded in 1837 by Catharine Beecher.YAY!!!!!!!!!! 5 POINTS EXTRA CREDIT!!!!!!FOR VALERIE!!!!!!
